Hong Kong Microfest brings great international, small-scale shows to Hong Kong, as well as producing English language theatre. Our first festival in 2009 received a great response and excellent reviews. 2009 also saw a Hong Kong based production of 'The Sneeze and other Short Plays' by Anton Chekhov. 2010 saw Christopher Marlowe’s classic 'Doctor Faustus' in an acclaimed all-female production ("Best of 2010" Time Out Awards). In February 2011 we brought award-winning absurdist comic Doctor Brown for sell-out performances, and also Harmony Stempel in the award-winning 'Human Fruit Bowl'. Finally November saw a well-received production of Kathrine Kressman Taylor's 'Address Unknown'. Image: |
