A stunning drama of friendship, betrayal and revenge set against the rise of fascism in 1930’s Germany.

In 1932 San Francisco art gallery owner Max Eisenstien, a Jew who grew up in pre-WWI Germany, bids farewell to his childhood friend and business partner Martin Shulse, who returns with his young family to Munich.

Observing the hardships that have befallen Germany the once liberal Martin becomes convinced that Fascism is the only way to save Germany from economic and national catastrophe. Receiving Martin’s letters Max, at first disbelieving, becomes outraged as his friend and colleague gradually falls under the spell of the rising Nazi party and it’s “Gentle Leader”. But as anti-Semitism rises it’s ugly head Max has no choice but to ask Martin to take his sister Griselle under his protection leading to an extraordinary twist.

Based on a 1938 novel that was one of the earliest pieces of work to raise American awareness of the evils of Hitler and the Nazi party. Address Unknown has been performed to great acclaim around the world.
